This pot is wheel thrown and hand painted. It stands at about 5” tall, 16.5” around and the opening is 2.5”.
Each pot starts as a lump of clay. It is then made on a pottery wheel, allowed to dry and then hand painted with underglaze. The handpainting process takes anywhere from 4-12 hours, depending on details and size. It is then fired to about 1800 degrees, glazed with a clear topcoat and then fired again.
