My love of pottery started when I was doing my student teaching. I had no experiences with clay and I suddenly had to teach it to teenagers, all day everyday. After a crash course in making pottery on the wheel so that I could teach it to my students, I would stay after school to perfect it and try new things. Before, I had always been a doodler and it all came together when I decided to apply my doodling skills to the pots I was making.
The process and my style has evolved since those days. Now, I like creating traditional pottery forms with high contrast designs that are often inspired southwestern and art deco patterns.
I love every piece I make and I enjoy sharing them with others that love them too.
